Perspective Taking / Social Thinking

Social thinking is what we do when we interact with people. We think about them and they in-turn have thoughts about us. We develop our sense of communication from the time we are infants acquiring social information and learning how to respond to people. It is an intuitive process that is learned naturally, however children with ASD, this process is anything but natural. It is our goal to provide our patients with the tools necessary to effectively and efficiently communicate with others, ie…interpreting emotions, facial affect and body language.
